| The cat got the man and Sam. She is excited about being able to read and truly enjoys her reading time. In science she started an ocean lapbook, but we I didn't get any pictures I will post some next week. Landon has been working hard on his own work book and is doing a great job on his printing. I am so proud of him, he has come along way from hardly tracing his letters to writing them and printing them on his own. He too is also having fun on click and read and is learning so much. It's amazing how much he absorbs. He may not be to far behind Teyla on reading. Liberty has finished up on Learning about Royalty and Moved on to the laws of the kingdom. She had a test over the different Kings and Queens she studied and came away from that test with a Big Fat A. So on to the laws of the Kingdom. She made a money bag and I filled it with coins and then I became Queen of our school. I taxed her because she ate breakfast, I taxed her because she had stuffed animals, I taxed her because she had green eyes and I even taxed her because she had Lanie. At the end of all my taxes she had two coins left and that was to get her through the rest of the week. She was not happy. We talked about how kings and Queens taxed the people to pay for the different things the soldiers needed for the wars they were fighting for their kings and Queens. This also lead us to talk about the wars and why the wars were being fought. She learned that the French and Indian wars was one of the longest wars and that it was being fought because both the French and the English wanted more land. At the end of the week she had another test and again passed it with an A. In Science we finished up on the body and Libby had a test and again came away with an A on it too. We moved on to Studying shore lines and we talked about the different types of beaches and how new sand is made. We are also doing an Atlantic lapbook so there will be more pictures of that next week too. Friday the kids and I made recycled paper. Since we are talking about the shore line we also talked about what was good for our environment and we of coursed talked about recycling. So below are pictures of the kids making recycled pictures. Stop by next week to see where our adventures may take us. | ||||||
